HSW was one of the first Central European industrial companies to cooperate and license with well-known Western European companies, such as Jones Cranes Ltd. in 1969, “Stetter GmbH” in 1970, “Coles Cranes Ltd“. in 1971 and by US companies: Clark Equipment Co. in 1972, “International Harvester Co.” (IHC) in 1972. The agreement with the IHC radically affected the further development of Huta Stalowa Wola.
Thanks to the forward-looking leadership of Huta Stalowa Wola, the licensing agreement with IHC made it possible for Huta Stalowa Wola to become a first-class Central European manufacturer of world-class pneumatic forklift loaders, track laying dozers.
The license provided by the company “Clark Equipment Co.” for the production of driving bridges made it possible to produce a large amount of loaders on the pneumatic type L-34 (more than 20,000 pieces), designed in Huta Stalowa Wola. New assembly shops, gear changes were built in the mid-seventies to support the further development of construction equipment.
In the early eighties, the partner of Huta Stalowa Wola instead of IHC became “Dresser Industries“, then “Komatsu America International Company“. The center for the development and research of construction machines made a significant contribution to the development of the construction of machines and their production.
