History of Terex Tractors

Some TEREX Tractor Manuals PDF are above the page.

Terex was founded in 1930.

It was founded by the brothers Armington and called the Euclid Company.

The company engaged in the design and manufacture of dump trucks.

The equipment was so in demand that the “brainchild” of the brothers did not go unnoticed by General Motors (GMC), known at that time.

So in 1970, the American corporation Terex Corporation appeared.

Translated from Latin, the name of the company meant “king of the earth.” Things went well, but not for long.

The crisis of 1980 affected the operations of Terex Corporation. GMC had to sell the company to IBH holding.

1981 – IBH bankrupt, Terex Corporation ownership of GMC;
1986 – Terex bankruptcy, transition to Northwest Engineering (NE);
1988 – bet on mining, purchase of Payhauler and O & K Mining;
1990 – restructuring, large-scale expansion of production capabilities;
2000 – expansion of the range, release of truck cranes, concrete trucks, military trucks and SUVs;
2000-2001 – the purchase of the company Fermec, CMI, Bid-Well and Atlas;
2015 – Merger with Konecranes.
